EGC Annual Membership Meeting on Wednesday, January 25

On Wednesday, January 25, 2012, the Economic Growth Connection of Westmoreland's Annual Membership Meeting will be held at the DeNunzio’s Chophouse at the Arnold Palmer Airport. Lunch will start at 11:30 a.m. with the meeting to begin at approximately 11:50 a.m.The main purpose of the meeting will be to elect members for the EGC Board of Directors. Also, a briefing will be given on the accomplishments to date by EGC, along with an update from the Westmoreland County Industrial Development Corporation and their newly appointed Executive Director, Jason Rigone.
Due to the importance of manufacturing in our local as well as national economy, we asked Kennametal to participate in the meeting as well. The Chairman, President and CEO of Kennametal, Carlos Cardoso, was recently invited by Governor Corbett to co-chair a committee on manufacturing in Pennsylvania. Erica Clayton Wright, Public Affairs Manager for Kennametal, will be joining us to outline important facts and concerns of Kennametal and other major manufacturers here in Pennsylvania.
